The City of Kissimmee just wrapped up  celebrating Mobility Week, which aimed at creating awareness of safe multimodal transportation choices in the Kissimmee area.

The city partnered with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for Mobility Week, launched in 2016 as an annual collection of outreach events intended to bring attention to safe multimodal transportation choices. What started as a Central Florida initiative has now grown statewide.

The City of Kissimmee offers access to different modes of transportation — Lynx and Greyhound bus routes, Amtrak and SunRail trains — and it’s all weaved into an effective transportation system thanks to strategic planning at the local governmental level. Thanks to that, resident can safely walk, ride their bike, take the train, or a bus ride to their destination.

By partnering with FDOT and other regional partners, the City is creating awareness of safe multimodal transportation choices and how these choices can build stronger, and more positive, communities.
