A hit-and-run crash Tuesday morning in Kissimmee was just a warm-up as a man involved crashed two more vehicles, and gave a helicopter a look before being arrested by Kissimmee Police.

Around 7:45 a.m., the Kissimmee Police Department responded to a hit-and-run crash that was reported to have taken place on Oak St. and Forrest Ave.

31-year-old Brandon Marti, who KPD says was
involved in the crash, left the scene and broke into an occupied home off Forrest Ave, took car keys from the home, and stole their car that was in the driveway.

Marti then drove the stolen car through a gate at the Kissimmee Gateway Airport, disabling that car. From there the man made his way to a helicopter on airport property where he was confronted by security, it’s unknown whether the suspect knew how to fly a helicopter, however, the suspect was not finished running.

The man somehow managed to steal a truck and drive away and outside of Kissimmee limits before he, of course, crashed it.  He was then apprehended and arrested by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Marti remains in the hospital being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
