Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a driver who fled the scene of a crash after fatally striking a 76-year-old man on Simpson Road in Kissimmee Friday night.
The crash took place near the intersection of Simpson Road and Simpson Ridge Circle around 9:30 P.m. Friday night.
According to Florida Troopers, an unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on Simpson Road south of Simpson Ridge Circle. At the same time, a 76-year-old Kissimmee man was walking in the southbound lane of Simpson Road and was hit by an unknown vehicle.
The victim was thrown onto the grass shoulder and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene of the crash.
FHP says there is no additional information about the crash, the vehicle that fatally struck the man, or the driver of the vehicle who left the scene.
