CareerSource Central Florida – Osceola is inviting job seekers to a special hiring event for paraprofessionals—also known as teacher assistants—on Thursday, October 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Osceola County Career Center, located at Valencia College’s Osceola Campus, 1800 Denn John Lane, Suite 300, Kissimmee.
Paraprofessionals play an essential role in Osceola County classrooms, providing valuable support to teachers and students throughout the district. The event offers an opportunity for individuals passionate about education to join the team and make a meaningful impact in local schools.
To be eligible for a paraprofessional position, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

Hold an Associate’s degree or higher

Have 60 semester hours of college coursework

Possess a High School Diploma or GED and a passing score on the ParaPro Test
The starting hourly rate is $16.71, and advance registration for the job fair is encouraged but not required. Those interested can register at Employ Florida.
