Five people have been arrested in connection with a violent home invasion at a short-term rental home in the Davenport area earlier this month, following a two-week investigation by Osceola County detectives.

The incident happened on November 5 at an Airbnb on Leader Street, where a teenage girl reported that a group of masked men dressed in black approached the home carrying guns and forced her inside. During the confrontation, her phone and keys were taken.

According to investigators, gunfire broke out once the suspects entered the home, with shots exchanged between the intruders and several guests staying at the property. By the time deputies arrived, both the suspects and some of the people inside the house had fled.

Detectives found significant damage inside the residence, including bullet holes in multiple walls, a shattered back sliding glass door, and numerous shell casings from both handguns and rifles scattered around the home.

A search of the surrounding area led deputies to two individuals identified by the victim as being involved. 21-year-old Devante Elijah Joseph and 20-year-old Markel Ja’Marion Bailey were taken into custody that night and later booked into the Osceola County Jail on charges related to the break-in and gunfire.

Over the next two weeks, investigators continued working to identify additional suspects. On November 24, with assistance from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol, two more individuals—22-year-old Alvan Dimy Civil and 20-year-old Jaiquan Darius Hill—were located in East Orange County near Woodbury Road and arrested.

The following day, November 25, detectives located a fifth suspect, 20-year-old Ronnall Lachasta Marayane Jr., while he was riding in a vehicle in Orange County. He was taken into custody and booked into the Orange County Jail.

Officials say the investigation into the incident is continuing as detectives review evidence and witness statements linked to the chaotic scene.
