The City of St. Cloud is extending the application period for its Community Support Grant Program to Sept. 30. The Community Support Grant Program accepts applications from local non-profit 501(c)3 agencies that provide human services to local residents. Although the 2020-21 budget is not yet finalized, the grant program typically awards $150,000 per year.

“By extending the deadline 30 days, we are giving area agencies a bit more time to complete the application to access these funds, which many of them may need more than ever this cycle,” said Mayor Nathan Blackwell.

The grant funds are intended to help develop new services or expand existing ones, to fund capital improvements that help facilitate services to local residents, and to fund programs that have a substantial impact on people’s lives.

“We, as a City, are proud to be able to provide these grants because they’re so important in helping improve our residents’ quality of life, and create a vibrant, progressive and diverse city,” Blackwell said. “We know they make a big impact on our community each year.”
