The City of St. Cloud has added a new communications director to its team. On July 13, Maryemma Bachelder, became the city’s new Director of Communications.
“Maryemma brings a wealth of experience in communications, community outreach, and marketing that will benefit the city,” said City Manager William Sturgeon. “She is well qualified to help us take our communications efforts to the next level and develop a comprehensive plan to help ensure we are communicating effectively with our citizens.”
Bachelder holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications/Journalism from Florida Southern College in Lakeland. She comes to the City of St. Cloud from AdventHealth, where she served as Director of Marketing / Community Relations for Polk County.
A former reporter and editor for The (Lakeland) Ledger, she also worked as Public Information Director for the Florida Department of Transportation, and as a division director for a Tampa-based marketingfirm that manages community outreach/public relations contracts for government and private companies throughout the U.S.
