This week, District 3 Osceola County Commissioner Brandon Arrington joined fellow leaders in recognizing student exhibitors like Jenna, Josie, and Michaela, who participated in this year’s Osceola County Fair through the 4-H Youth Development Program. These dedicated students showcased their hard work by raising livestock, learning valuable lessons in hands-on agriculture, leadership, and giving back.

Commissioner Arrington purchased livestock raised by the students during the 2025 Osceola County Fair using funds from the Betterment Grant. The processed meat was then donated to local organizations including the Osceola Council on Aging and St. Rose of Lima Church. The donation helps provide nutritious meals to families and seniors across the county, demonstrating the powerful impact of community partnerships.

“This is more than just supporting our youth—it’s about strengthening our culture and caring for those who need it most,” said Commissioner and Vice Mayor Arrington.

The event highlighted the continued importance of the 4-H program in shaping the next generation while also addressing local food insecurity. It’s a reflection of what’s possible when leadership, education, and compassion come together.
