Cruise enthusiasts will have to wait a little longer to sail away after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention extended its no sail order on cruises through September.

The no sail order been in March but was soon extend as COVID-19 cases continued to rise.

According to the latest CDC order, cruise ships operating in the U.S. will not be able to sail until Sept. 30 unless one of the following takes place:

The expiration of the Secretary of Health and Human Services’ declaration that COVID-19 constitutes a public health emergency

The CDC director rescinds or modifies the order based on specific public health or other considerations

Disney Cruise Line has already suspended some sailings through the fall with guidance from the CDC.
