We’re just reading the stats we’re provided by the state of Florida and the Department of Health.

For the first time, the number of COVID-19 cases in Osceola County has dropped from update to update, from 479 yesterday to 478 today. It’s good news that we’ll take in the same breath that Gov. Ron DeSantis used yesterday to announce a limited re-opening of some Florida businesses.

Osceola hospitalizations rose a tick to 134, and fatalities have remained steady at 7 since the DOH announced the last one in the county a week ago. The state of Florida added 597 cases to 33,690 and 50 deaths, up to 1,268.
