A 68-year-old St. Cloud man died early Wednesday morning after being struck while riding a bicycle on north Narcoossee Road in St. Cloud, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after hitting the bicyclist.

FHP says the fatal hit and run crash took place around 3:35 a.m. on Narcoossee Road South of Countryside Court in St. Cloud when an unknown vehicle, possibly a white Toyota pickup truck, was traveling north on Narcoossee Road and failed to stay in the outside lane, fatally striking a man riding a bike northbound in the bike lane.

The man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, an FHP crash report said.

The unknown vehicle left the scene of the crash after striking the bike, according to troopers. Traffic homicide investigators have received confirmation that the car parts located on-scene were from a 2023-2024 Toyota Tundra Platinum Edition white pick-up truck. The truck being looked for should have damage to the front right bumper and headlight assembly.
