NeoCity, Osceola County’s technological innovation district, has taken a significant leap forward with a newly approved Memorandum of Understanding between the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners, Concept Companies, and Empyrean Medical Systems, Inc. This collaboration signals a transformative step in the region’s journey to become a global leader in advanced technology and innovation.
The agreement with Empyrean, a global medical device technology company specializing in advanced cancer treatment solutions, includes plans to establish a cutting-edge research, development, and manufacturing facility at NeoCity. By 2025, Empyrean is set to lease space at NeoCity, with the potential to develop a 50,000- to 100,000-square-foot facility by 2028. The state-of-the-art facility will consolidate the company’s operations in superconducting and magnetics research, manufacturing, and administration.
Driving Innovation in Cancer Treatment
Empyrean Medical Systems has revolutionized cancer treatment technologies by integrating advanced magnetics, photonics, particle accelerators, and machine learning into its products. The company’s focus on precision parts fabrication for radiation oncology and superconducting technologies aligns seamlessly with NeoCity’s strategic vision for fostering groundbreaking technological advancements.
Empyrean’s presence at NeoCity is expected to generate at least 60 high-skilled positions with an average annual salary of $80,000 by 2033. These roles will enhance Osceola County’s advanced technology workforce, contributing to the region’s economic diversification and growth.

The MOU includes key roles for Concept Companies, the real estate developer responsible for constructing Empyrean’s facility, and Magnetics Corporation (MagCorp), which facilitates the partnership and accelerates advancements in superconducting technologies.

- Establishment of the Central Florida Semiconductor Innovation Engine through a National Science Foundation award.
