The Florida Department of Health reported today that a 25th person in Osceola County has passed away from the virus, a 69-year-old man who died on Monday.

He was just the second person whose death was attributed to the virus in June. Of those 25 fatalities, seven occurred in May, 13 in April and three in March.

The county also logged 138 new cases from overnight, the third highest in the 10-county around behind Orange (560) and Brevard (169).

The DOH is now breaking out confirmed cases in its own report document, and the report of those cases show they come from a wide age range, from 1 to 76 years old.

The Florida Department of Health reported 6,563 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 158,997 since March 1, as well as 45 new deaths (3,550) and 245 new hospitalizations. Osceola County now has 199 hospitalizations, an increase of two.
