The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, under the leadership of Sheriff Marcos Lopez, recently made a contribution to the community by donating a Ford Explorer to the Osceola Council on Aging’s Meals on Wheels program. This donation will directly support the program’s mission of delivering meals to homebound seniors and individuals in need across Osceola County.
Meals on Wheels is a vital service that ensures nutritious meals are delivered to seniors who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. Beyond the meals, the program provides much-needed human connection and safety checks, improving the quality of life for many in the community.
The Osceola Council on Aging expressed their gratitude for the donation, saying, “Ask, and you shall receive! We are thrilled to give a shout-out to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department for answering the call to support our Meals on Wheels program. Their generous donation of a Ford Explorer means more meals delivered to those in need. Thank you, Sheriff Lopez and staff, for your much-needed and greatly appreciated contribution!”
With this new addition to their fleet, the Meals on Wheels team will be able to deliver more meals and reach more residents in need. The Ford Explorer is set to hit the road, showcasing the collaboration between law enforcement and community organizations to serve Osceola County residents.
