On Friday, March 4th at 7 am, Kissimmee-area employers and their employees will have an opportunity to participate in a Bike to Work Day event along with reThink Your Commute and the City of Kissimmee.

The 3-mile long ride will take place primarily on Kissimmee’s scenic Lakefront Trail and is estimated to take about 30 minutes long, depending on the bike rider.

The slow-paced bike ride will begin and end at Ruby Plaza in downtown Kissimmee with all traffic laws being followed. Individual riders will be able to leave the group ride at any point along the route to get to their actual worksite.

A police escort is expected to be at the event.

Participants are expected to bring their own bicycle or ride to the morning meet-up location. Parking is available at Ruby Plaza for those who drive a motor vehicle to the morning meet-up location.

Riders must sign a waiver and wear a bicycle helmet to participate in the group ride.
Free bike helmets will be available at Ruby Plaza during check-in courtesy of Bike Walk Central Florida and FDOT District Five.

Company teams will compete for Top Team based on attendance and that top team will be presented with the traveling trophy to be displayed in their workplace for the next year.

So get ready to reThink Your Commute in Kissimmee on March 4th from 7 am – 8:30 am.
