The Osceola County Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge #2523 are always ready to support the community whenever they can. The Lodge has been in Osceola County for 36 years and believes that every child should have the chance for higher education.

On Sunday, February 10th, this amazing organization came together to host their first Cinderella’s Closet Gala Luncheon. The event was held at the Kissimmee Bay Golf and Country Club, with guest speaker Osceola County Commissioner Fred Hawkins, Jr. giving a county update on economics, education, and homelessness in the area.

Guests of the event were able to bid on gowns during the live auction presented by Carolyn Cianciotta, Grand Lodge of Florida State President. One hundred gently used gowns were donated by friends and family members of the Lodge, along with costume jewelry and accessories. Sixty of those gowns were modeled by volunteers while the rest of the gowns were on display. Bidding began at $50.00 for each gown, receiving as high as $100.00 of these beautiful dresses.

Proceeds from the auction will be awarded as scholarships for Osceola County High School seniors, and the beautiful gowns that were donated will be given to local high school girls that would otherwise not be able to purchase a dress for the prom because they cannot afford to purchase a prom dress.

This event was a wonderful success. Over $3000.00 was raised and several young women will be able to attend their proms in style and make magical memories thanks to all of the generous guests who attended this event. Thank you to the Osceola County Sons and Daughter of Italy Lodge #2523 for making a positive difference in Osceola County. Cinderella’s Closet will continue to make dreams come true because of you.
