The coronavirus pandemic is hitting this year’s graduating classes of high school and college very hard. Social distancing requirements dictate that big gathering events like prom and Grad Nite couldn’t happen and, locally, graduation has been pushed back to July with the hope that families and graduates can gather at Osceola Heritage Park to celebrate their accomplishments.

Many in the community are doing what they can to show appreciation for what the Class of 2020 has accomplished.

Fat Boys BBQ in St. Cloud, for example, has put up impressive banners on its outdoor facade honoring area seniors and their accomplishments in the classroom and out on the athletic fields. They will be displayed from now until graduation, which is tentatively set for July 6-10.

You can see the banners at Fat Boy’s, which will re-open its dining room on Monday at 8 a.m. for breakfast in accordance with state rules allowing restaurants to open 25 percent of its inside seating capacity. It will be open Mother’s Day next week, but make reservations at 407-892-4400.
