Universal revealed this week that it will be building two budget-friendly hotels on the property where Wet n’ Wild water park operated on International Drive for 40 years.

The two new hotels will be “value-drive” with the price of a room under $100 per night.

“Guests will enjoy the sun, surf and sand with a laid-back coastal feel,” according to a press release.”Towering exterior murals with vibrant and natural colors will set a free-spirited and beachy tone, inviting guests to hang loose throughout their stay.”

There will be three pools, coffee bars, 2 food courts, and car rental facilities located in the hotel.

The hotels will be Universal Orlando‘s seventh and eighth area hotels and will be located on a 64-acre site at the intersection or Universal Boulevard and International Drive.

Combined the two hotels will have 2,800 rooms and are projected to open in the summer of 2019 and will begin accepting reservations as early as next year.
