The City of Kissimmee is currently investigating a hole that has formed on Dakin Avenue in Downtown Kissimmee.
The City of Kissimmee was notified around 1:30pm Saturday of an opening that had formed along Dakin Avenue in Downtown Kissimmee near the railroad tracks. The cause of the 10’ x 10’ hole in the road is still unknown; however, the City’s engineer and the Toho Water Authority are en route to determine the cause.
Transit officials associated with rail transportation have indicated the hole does not currently pose a threat to their lines and no service interruptions are expected.
Dakin Avenue currently remains closed in both directions.
