A Transportation Security Administration union report stated Saturday that a TSA employee at Orlando International Airport tested positive for coronavirus, and that all workers who were in contact with that person have been notified. There is no information currently on whether they have been tested, quarantined or are self-quarantining.
“Enhanced cleaning” of all areas where the employee worked was done after the officer was diagnosed, the TSA said in a recent statement.
OIA (or MCO) is Florida’s busiest airport, among the busiest in the world and was on track to move more than 50 million passengers through in 2020 — and they all pass through TSA screening to get to their gates.
