On February 28, 2019, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report in reference to lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim under 12 years of age by the victim’s mother, who reported that the incident took place at Boggy Creek Elementary School, located at 810 Florida Parkway, Kissimmee, FL, by a substitute teacher, later identified as 19-year-old Fnu Syedyaseen-Asher.

The victim was interviewed by the Child Protective Team (CPT), where she provided detailed information about the incident. Based on the information provided by the victim, detectives made contact with Fnu Syedyaseen-Asher where he confessed to the crime. Fnu Syedyaseen-Asher was arrested for Lewd and Lascivious Molestation on a victim under 12 years of age (3 counts) and was later transported to the Osceola County Jail.

According to the Osceola School District, Fnu Syedyaseen-Asher went through the school district background procedures before being employed in December, and nothing was found that would have prevented him from being hired.

Detectives responded to the school and conducted interviews with other students in an attempt to locate additional victims and possible witnesses. The school district is continuing to work hand in hand with law enforcement in order to provide a safe environment for both students and staff.
